Tuesday May 10th the Oklahoma City Thunder trek south down to the AT&T Center to play the San Antonio Spurs. Tip off is at 8:00 PM Eastern 7:00 PM Central Standard Time (local).
In game 4 Kevin Durant made his best playoff appearance of the post season scoring 41 points to tie up the series 2 games a piece. The 41 points also tied his all time career high as they won by 14 points on Sunday evening. With only 12 points coming in the first half the OKC star knew he had to shine to beat out the experienced and skilled Spurs.
This years NBA playoffs feels like the waiting game to play the Golden State Warriors. Will the Spurs win in Game 5? If Tony Parker plays like he did on Sunday then yes but he is going to need help from the rest of the team. Parker led the way with 22 points while Aldridge had 20 and Leonard ended up with 21 points.
The Spurs were actually winning the game by more than 10 points in the first half but when Durant decided to show up at the end of the first half the tables started to turn as the Thunder took a 45-44 point lead. Strong defense will lead to a spurs victory in game 5 as they limited the Thunder in the first half but could not contain them in the second half. Odds for Game 5 Spurs vs. Thunder
The current betting odds for the game have the OKC Thunder getting 6.5 points and the Total (Over/Under) set at 199.5 points. With these two teams scoring almost 200 points each game. The oddsmakers know that these are two big name teams in the south and Vegas is hungry for the action. The Spurs have a decisive advantage coming back home and the experience year in and year out to help them beat the Thunder and move onto the conference finals.
