Andy Dalton tosses 3 TDs before injuring elbow as TCU rolls - Andy Dalton trotted off the field, a single-stem red rose in hand. The next stop for the BCS-busting Horned Frogs could very well be the Rose Bowl. Dalton threw three touchdown passes before leaving with a minor elbow injury and TCU (No. 3 BCS, No. 4 AP) capped its second straight undefeated regular season with another Mountain West championship, beating lowly New Mexico 66-17 on Saturday.  READ MORE

Texas 17 - (5-7, 2-6 Big 12)

Cyrus Gray scores 2 long TDs, carries Aggies to win over Longhorns - Texas A&M heaped one final insult on Texas' miserable season. Cyrus Gray rushed for 223 yards and had two long touchdowns, helping No. 17 Texas A&M beat Texas 24-17 on Thursday night, sending the Longhorns to their first losing season since 1997.   READ MORE

Texas Tech 35 - (7-5, 3-5 Big 12)

Taylor Potts, Texas Tech deny Houston shot at bowl - Taylor Potts threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns to lead Texas Tech over Houston 35-20 on Saturday night. Potts threw completed 32 of 46 passes with an interception for the Red Raiders (7-5). Texas Tech kept the Cougars (5-7) from becoming bowl eligible and avenged a 1-point defeat at Houston last season.   READ MORE

Rice 28 - (4-8, 3-5 C-USA)

Rice scores with 44 seconds left to beat UAB 28-23 - Jeremy Eddington rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning 22-yard score with 44 seconds remaining, to give Rice a 28-23 win over Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday. After Eddington's score, the Blazers (4-8, 3-5 C-USA) had one more chance to win it, but Rice (4-8, 3-5) forced UAB into a turnover on downs and ran out the clock.   READ MORE

East Carolina 38 - (6-6, 5-3 C-USA)

SMU takes West, secures spot for C-USA title - Zach Line scored on a short touchdown run in overtime and Richard Crawford followed with the game-ending interception to help Southern Methodist beat East Carolina 45-38 on Friday, clinching a spot in the Conference USA championship game. Line scored on a 1-yard run to start the overtime for the Mustangs (7-5, 6-2), then Crawford came up with the huge defensive play by stepping in front of Lance Lewis and catching Dominique Davis' quick throw.   READ MORE

North Texas 41 - (3-8, 3-5 Sun Belt)

Thomas runs for 269 yards, Kansas State wins 49-41 - Daniel Thomas rushed for a career-high 269 yards and Kansas State closed the college home of “Mean” Joe Greene by rallying for a 49-41 victory against North Texas on Saturday. The Wildcats (7-5) fell behind 20-7 in the first half after Lance Dunbar rushed for 161 yards and two long touchdowns in the first quarter alone.   READ MORE
