Durant leads USA to close win over Brazil - Kevin Durant scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Team USA held off Brazil at the final buzzer for a 70-68 win on Monday. Brazil intentionally missed a free throw and had a chance to win or tie, but Leandro Barbosa missed a shot at the final buzzer. Much has been made about the great depth of the U.S. team, but the starters, including Durant, all played very heavy minutes today. USA is 3-0 in the World Championships so far, and are lucky Anderson Varejao was out with an ankle injury today. They'll try to stay undefeated against Iran on Wednesday at noon. He's in uniform, but did not warm up with his teammates, making it sound like he won't play today. Nevada Gaming Control Board enforcement chief Jerry Markling said Monday that regulators are looking at whether the casino operator violated laws prohibiting underage drinking or gambling.
