The Little Giants beat the San Antonio Broncos 36-12 in the 11-12 age group, Saturday night, under the lights at the Somerset Stadium, and went undefeated throughout the 2011 season. The Little Giants went on to score 5 touchdowns while the Broncos scored 2 touchdown with both teams missing the extra points. Several of the Bronco's players were injured during the game. The Bronco's Coaches were upset with the referees, even threatening to call the police, because of the physical play of the Little Giants. The Broncos play a great game against Somerset and the boys knew it wont be easy but if they played harder than the week before they could win and they did just that opening to 18-0 lead after the first quarter. gave the coaches a chance to play everyone a significant amount of time 24-6 at half and and still they knew it wasn't over third quarter sealed the game controlling the ball for over nine minutes in the quarter to take a 32-6 lead into the final 12 minutes. The Broncos scored in toward the end of the game but it still wasn't enough to defeat the Giants. The trophy was presented after the game to Head Coach Ram, Coach K, Coach Roland and Coach Fabian, while the players received their medals for a job well done. The San Antonio Najiff Football League will play their All-Star Game on Saturday, December 4 at Somerset Stadium with 12 players representing the Little Giants football team.
We here at MVPTexas Congratulate both teams for making it to the Championship Game and the Little Giants for their hard fought win. |
